PISTOLERA is a New York City-based Latin pop-folklorico quartet with a unique blend of traditional Mexican music and pop rock melodies. Armed with only bass, drums, accordion and guitar backing Spanish lyric songs, Pistolera’s music has made a major dent in Latin and mainstream music communities. Since the release of Siempre Hay Salida in ‘06, they have been in Billboard, The New Yorker and Latina Magazine. They’ve performed on several radio stations from NPR’s “Open Mic” to WNYC’s “Soundcheck” to Radio Ibero in Mexico City. Siempre rose to the rank of #5 on the CMJ Latin Alt Chart and #13 on the World Chart.
