CHARANGA CAKEWALK is the music of Michael Ramos, and it’s a feel-good mix of tejano, flamenco folklorica, merengue, salsa, garage rock, ska and reggaeton. Ramos, a multi-instrumentalist capable of playing anything from accordion to Hammond B-3, has spent time on stage and in the studio wielding an instrument or two for John Mellencamp, Paul Simon and Patty Griffin, among others. Prior to his days on his own, Ramos was an occasional player with BoDeans and The Rembrandts.
